Servo Drive Demo Platform

nnaufel edited this page Dec 4, 2020 · 17 revisions

Introduction

The Servo Drive Demo is based on the Arrow Reconfigurable Industrial Robotics Platform which uses the Critical Link Connected Motion and Robotics (CMR) board with an Intel® Cyclone® V SoC based SOM, and the Analog Devices Servo Drive FMC mezzanine board.

The CMR board is designed to facilitate development of Connected Motion and Robotics using the Critical Link MitySoM System on Module and up to 4 FMC LPC Mezzanine daughter cards.

The Analog Devices Servo Drive board has the logic needed to drive a 24VDC brushless servo motor. These components are an H-bridge with gate pre-drivers, current sense, and signal conditioning.

Applications

  • Servo Motor Control

Supported Devices

Evaluation Boards

A platform is typically comprised of:

  • SoC FPGA SOM
  • Carrier card with FMC LPC connector
  • ADI® FMC Servo Drive board

Example designs include:

  • FPGA HDL code
  • Linux operating system, or No-OS software

Each platform is provided with a unique Quick Start Guide, ensuring a good out-of-box experience. Complete example design source code is provided in repositories.
