Transporter Beacon
Warning: this page applies to an upcoming change in the mod, not publicly available (yet).
The Transporter Beacon has many uses, all related to the Transporter Room setup(s). Safe exploration in unknown territories usually start by having a Transporter Beacon in your backpack for rapid extraction.
A Transporter Beacon requires energy to operate, as shown in its durability bar. Energy is consumed while the beacon is held in hand or placed in the world. Once its energy has been depleted, the beacon will have no effect. You can recharge it using any RF or EU power source.
A Transporter Beacon can be linked to a Transporter Room through its signature. This is done by Sneak-Right clicking a Transporter Core.
Once linked, a beacon can be used to either:
- Maintain an emergency extraction request to that room. This is done by placing the beacon.
- Define the linked room as a remote location for another Transporter Room. This is done by right clicking another Transporter Core.
A transporter beacon can be placed anywhere, including inside liquid or against a wall.
Area of effect is defined as 2 blocks away on X/Z axis, 1 block below or 2 blocks above on Y axis. Any entity standing in the area will be transferred, provided there's enough scanners in the related Transporter Room.
Energy needs to be provided for its operation. This can be done only from the bottom.
A Transporter Beacon is produced from 1 Ender pearl, 1 Memory crystal, 1 Diamond crystal and 2 sticks.
A Transporter Beacon can be Sneak-Right clicked on a Transporter Core to link it to the beacon.
A Transporter Beacon can be Right clicked on another Transporter Core to set remote location to the previously linked Transporter Core.
A Transporter Beacon can be placed in the world to maintain an emergency extraction request to a previously linked Transporter Core. It'll consume energy while doing it.
A Transporter Beacon can be held in hand. This allows a transporter room to target said player for transfer. Entities in the area will be transferred, provided there's enough scanners.
When linked, placing the beacon will trigger the related transporter core and force a minimum energy factor of 400%. Once lock strength is at least 85%, the beacon will request energization.
Emergency extraction will take priority to any other ongoing activities, unless you disable the Transporter Core.
