Details of Use Cases (enabled as of now) (Assessments)
As a teacher, I select a class, grade, subject, competencies, type of assessment (oral / written) and the student who I wish to test so that I can take the assessment of the student
-
User clicks on ‘My Classes’ on the home screen, selects a class and then chooses to take a spot assessment
-
User selects the subject & competencies which need to be tested
-
User selects if the spot assessment should be oral or written
-
User selects the student for whom the assessment has to be taken
As a teacher, I give the device to the student where he / she takes assessment on a set of questions based on the grade, subject, competencies and type of assessment selected so that the data can be captured
-
Some questions appear in the QuML player (in case of a written assessment) or Google Read Along (in case of an oral assessment) based on the selected grade, subject and competencies
-
User (Student) answers one question at a time
-
At the end of the assessment, the user (student) views a performance result
-
Post this, the user (teacher) chooses if he / she wants to repeat the same test with another student (same questions will appear) or give similar test to another student (different questions but same competencies - the teacher can also choose to change competencies if required). Post choosing any of these options, the teacher selects the student to be tested and takes the assessment.
As a teacher, I can view the student performance post a spot assessment has been completed so that I can analyse the student's knowledge & learning
- Post completion of a spot assessment for a student, a report gets generated to showcase the performance by the student in that particular spot assessment.
As a teacher, I can view the overall performance of my entire class post spot assessments so that I can analyze the performance of all students in terms of learning to make decisions
- The teacher can choose to end spot assessment, which generates a summary and full spot assessment report for the entire class. It shows class participation, 100% achievers and student-wise performance in the class.
As a teacher, I add student-wise scores according to a set template by the state so that I can record the performance of my students in a particular assessment
-
User selects a class from ‘My Classes’
-
User chooses the subject of the selected class, if needed
-
User selects the assessment (eg: Summative Assessment - 1 etc.) for the selected class and subject which is to be filled. Due date for the data submission for that particular class-subject-assessment combination should be shown
-
A list of students is shown to the teacher, who are eligible for the chosen assessment and whose scores need to be updated. The teacher can either update their marks or mark them absent for a particular assessment
-
After choosing a particular student, the user views a pre-set template for the selected assessment (eg: Theory / Practical, Oral / Written, Question-wise) which shows the different components (Theory / Practical, Oral / Written, Question-wise) with maximum marks for each component which needs to be filled by the user for each student
-
Once the scores have been filled, the user clicks on 'Save' after which the total scores for that particular student are shown. The user can then choose another student for whom the scores are to be filled
- An alert is generated in case a user gives more than the maximum marks in a particular component
As a teacher, I can view the overall performance of my entire class post submission of scores of state assessments so that I can analyze the performance of all students in terms of learning to make decisions
- Post updating scores of all students, the teacher clicks on 'Submit' and then views summary and full state assessment report for the entire class. It shows class participation, 100% achievers and student-wise performance in the class.
As a teacher, I can view messages (being sent by admin) & send messages to parents regarding spot and state assessments so that I can communicate with the parents regarding their child’s performance.
-
Post submitting spot / state assessments, the user can view messages being sent by admin to the students of her class. The user clicks on 'View Messages being sent by admin' on the summary report screen to view the same
-
User can also choose to send a message to students / parents on their own related to assessment by clicking on 'Send Another Message'
-
A screen appears where the user enters the class to which the notification has to be sent, module, event trigger and channel through which the notification is being sent.
-
A template appears based on the chosen module, event trigger and channel along with a recipient list (which gets auto-populated basis the event trigger)
-
If the user clicks on ‘Review & Send now’, a summary is shown to confirm the notification being sent. The user can then click on 'Send Message' to send it to the recipients
-
If the user chooses to schedule a notification by clicking on ‘Send later’, he / she chooses the date, month and time for the notification. The notification is automatically sent at the scheduled time
- If there is no available communication service or template, the option to send message is disabled
